Hi People! My name is Sherlock and I come from the Leeds area
of Alabama. I was found wandering around a few weeks ago. A
nice couple took me in, bathed me and got all the fleas and dirt off
of me...and let me tell you I felt so much better! No one
claimed me so here I am at BHRA ready to find the good life!
I am 5 - 6 years old. Luckily I am heartworm negative and I have received a clean bill of
health from that nice Veterinarian...whatever that means. I am
not much for dog toys, but I love to run and play and then poop out
on the couch! I like kids and I am a fabulous passenger in the
car...I am even learning the doggy door! I can go outside
whenever I want...and I love to be outside! I am a stout boy...wide shoulders and the
build of a defensive lineman. At 54 pounds I am a very healthy
boy! I am also very funny and I am a typical stubborn basset
who wants to do things my way...but I am a good boy. I don't
have any aggression at all and I am funny at meal time. I will
take one piece of food out of my bowl, put it on the floor and then
I talk to it. When I am ready I will lay down at my bowl and
eat. I probably should go to a home with another dog because I
don't like being left alone. As a matter of a fact, I do very
well in an active home with lots of friends and family around.
